You post a photo → get judged, ignored, or roasted.
So you stop posting.
Stop asking.
Stop improving.
You’re not the problem. Those groups are.
Humble Togs Club is built for photographers who actually help each other become better photographers, without ego or insults disguised as "opinions".
You posted a photo hoping for feedback (or constructive critisism / CC)…
and ended up feeling attacked (and defeated) for even asking.
You’re sick of photography spaces that feel more like a pissing contest than a place to actually learn.
You know you’ve got potential…
but second-guessing yourself is slowing everything down.
You’re not the problem. Those groups are.
This is where things actually change...
You don’t just post your photos and hope for the best.
You get real VIDEO feedback you can actually use.
When you share your work, I’ll record a personal video breaking it down:
👉 what’s working
👉 what’s not
👉 what to try next
👉 No vague comments.
👉 No guessing.
👉 No ego.
This is ONE-TO-ONE PERSONALIZED COACHING!

"so glad I found Humble Togs"
As a newbie to photography, I wanted to find a group of supportive photographers to get feedback and to talk without judgement. Reddit can be overwhelming for newbies and I’m so glad I found Humble Togs. I posted photos for critique and received a super helpful, detailed video with constructive feedback, provided in a friendly manner. Highly recommend!

"best idea for a platform"
As an avid photo hobbyist and a hopeful professional, my head is always full of questions that i was afraid to ask...not here! It's nice to meet other photographers who are willing to give there time, give answers, and not judge! I love to welcome all the new members, (growing by the day). I think Kurt, at Humble Togs Club, had the best idea for a platform. So welcome everyone, be kind, and spread your wisdom!

"a breath of fresh air"
For someone with autism, finding a group of people who are patient, kind and willing to take it step by step in their feedback that doesn't come across as harsh or "this is wrong" is a breath of fresh air. Not only is the feedback genuine, you feel lifted up by it because it's backed with support.
And the best part? We have so much fun! This group has really helped me grow and support me so I can become the best neurodivergent photographer I can be!

"Right away, I realized this community was different"
"It's private, supportive and full of photographers who genuinely wanna help each other. I've learned soooo much and I've discovered I have something to offer too!" - Jessa, USA

"Kurt is amazing! The people there are amazing!"
"Are you sick of putting your stuff out on the internet, just to have some guy tell you how horrible of an artist you are because you didn't have your ISO perfect?" - Sean "Randy", USA

"I am an EXTREMELY new photographer"
"I was having issues recording a video for my husband's business. Kurt jumped on a zoom call with me! If you're after a community which is soooooo supportive. They don't make you feel like an idiot! Reach out to Kurt. Jump into the community!" - Tammie, Australia

"I'm a professional Pet Photographer! For 15 years"
"I came across one of Kurt's videos on TikTok. I thought it was a brilliant idea and jumped onboard. What he's building is FANTASTIC! $5 a month is a steal! And Kurt seems like a pretty smart guy... He's gonna figure that out - eventually. I would jump on board now. Before the price goes up lol" - Hannah, Scotland UK"

"I've met a lot of people in this creative world... that just SUCK"
"They don't wanna help each other out. They gatekeep. Kurt is building a thing here that kind of avoids all that... He recently helped me recover some photos from an SD card that had corrupted from an event shoot I was at. I got the photos back and I couldn't recommend Humble Togs Club more!"
- Andrew, New Jersey, USA

"I love it here... there really isn't any jerks!"
"I came across Kurt a couple of months ago and he talked about his club where they'd be no jerks and there really isn't any jerks there - It's great! I was able to ask questions and bring up my skills as a photogarpher... We get to meet new people in there of all different levels, hobbyists, professionals and people that are just starting off. So it's cool to see their skills grow just as much as mine have grown"
- Sonia, New York, USA

Because free groups are full of noise, ego, and people who don’t care.
This isn’t that.
A small price keeps the space:
respectful
supportive
actually useful
full of ONLY kind humans who WANT to be there!

I’ve been a professional photographer for 20+ years.
I've built 3 studios.
Made over $7M in photography.
Now I coach and mentor photographers.
I created Humble Togs Clubs because too many people feel stuck, alone, and defeated by toxic photo groups. I've seen it my whole career.
Humble Togs Club is the antidote to all that.

This is NOT a community designed to sell you more stuff.
🚫 No preset packs
🚫 No gear pitching
🚫 No upsells once you’re inside
🚫 No paying extra for training modules
Everything inside the club is included.
Just a simple monthly membership
(less than buying Kurt a beer 🍺 once a month)

Haha. It's just short/slag for phoTOGrapher! I'm not sure if I made that up years ago, or heard it somewhere, but I've always used it lol
This is for beginner to intermediate photographers (and we have some pros too!) who value respect, humble learning, and genuine connection over competition or perfection.
Because it matters. And honestly—because it's awesome.
Free stuff usually comes with a catch. This isn’t that. There are no upsells hiding around the corner.
I’m building Humble Togs Club as my full-time focus so I can pour my energy and time into the community, the resources, and you. The $9/month helps support that—and keeps the space safe. Free groups often attract jerks, but even a small cost keeps the vibe kind, committed, and troll-free.
If $9 feels like too much, no probs, but it's less than buying me a beer once a month. lol
If you can see the value here, like our current members do, I hope it'll feel like a no-brainer.
As a member, you get access to our private, supportive community platform (private website + a phone app), Live virtual sessions and Q&As you can join anytime, a growing library of modules on photography, flash, studio lighting, portrait posing with a focus on portraiture, weddings and events (my main specialties), working with natural light, Retouching in Photoshop, and Lightroom, building a business in photography, and much more!
Oh and that all important feedback from peers (without the attitude)!
Live Meetings are scheduled regularly (approx 2-3 per week) on various topics and at different times of the day to allow for various international timezones. It's never necessary to attend, but all members are welcome. If you miss one you wanted to attend, you can watch the recorded playback in your own time (or even at 2x speed!)
We protect the culture here, full stop. No gatekeeping. No egos. No belittling. No calling anyone's work crappy, just because you think you've done better!
I know how intimidating it can feel to ask questions when you’re just starting out—and I’ve built this space to be the opposite of that.
Everyone’s welcome. Everyone’s learning. Everyone has something to offer.
Absolutely. Beginners are not just welcome—they're embraced. No question is too basic here. And the training modules start at the very beginning
That depends if you believe your experience means you won't be able to learn from others who've just found out what an aperture is!
I can tell you we have several members already who were shooting for magazines while I was in diapers and they just love being part of the supportive community and I call on their experience often!
You can find that stuff elsewhere. We really aren't a space that cares to talk about which camera is more awesome than another. My personal cameras I've had for more than 10 years. It's not the camera that makes the photographer, and humble togs know that.
Founding members get in for $9/month (or $87 per year), after a 7 day FREE trial — and that price is locked in for life. As the club grows and adds more value, the price will increase for new members, but never for you.
The other "upsells" inside are the Premium tier coaching, if and when you're ready, you can upgrade to that for $67 a month and really get into building the business mode. My goal there is to get you into an earning bracket of above $1000 per session.
I also offer private coaching if that's something you're interested in. No pressure and there's loads of value in the base level club and Premium level group club! Private Coaching is for members who wants dedicated one-on-one time and personalized accountability.
The additional tier option is there only for when you're ready.
No problem! Many of our members are just wanting to grow and learn photography without making money from it. We are building out training modules geared towards running a business in photography, but there are loads of modules just helping you improve and learn too, sans the business stuff!
Lol.
You want the skinny on me and where I've come from?
Ok. Fair enough.
I've been a professional photographer for over 20 years now. I started as a beginner (like we all do, right?!), worked for others until I was ready to start my own studio brand in Australia. Over 12 years, 3 locations and 5-7 full-time staff members, we netted averages of around half a million bucks a year so I guess if you add that up, I've made over $10M in my career. Seems not-so-humble to talk about money stuff, but I know some people ask.
Our weddings started at $3K (though most were between $5-7K) and our biggest sale to one family for a family portrait session (who absolutely adore us btw and VALUE what we created for them so much, which is the IMPORTANT part) was $7,200.
We made all sorts of other great income in events and actors headshots but I guess you can certainly say, I'm a portrait photographer. I've always found it easiest to photograph people and accept their kind payments for valuing what we create for them.
Then, when my wife and I (and studio dog) moved to NYC, I didn't really wanna start again as a portrait photographer so I decided to start again in TV/Film. I worked on close to all the TV Shows filming in NYC and surrounds (Blue Bloods, Severance, Marvellous Mrs Maisels, Backlist, Wu-Tang, Evil, Ghost, New Amsterdam, The Good Fight, FBI: Most Wanted, aaaaaall the Law & Orders and many more) but then in 2023, that industry crashed and hasn't returned.
Since then, I've learnt all about how to create websites (like this one) and online stuff in digital marketing. I also came across the Skool platform, built for growing communities.
So in April 2025, I decided to start my own and here we are.
If you really wanna find out more about me, google my name, "Kurt Sneddon" and hit "images". You'll find a heck of a lot of images out there in the interwebs with my credit on them.
$9/month or $87/year. $US. Bank fees may apply in your country.
